JAIPUR: Posing yet another challenge to Rajasthan police, a gang of miscreants who are on petrol pump robbery spree, looted yet another filling station in Pali district and made away with Rs 35,000 on the wee hours of Monday. They also injured one of the petrol pump staff with butt of a pistol. According to police report, a group of armed miscreants stopped at Pali Filling Station near Ramasiya village at 3.10 am. When the staff members approached them to inquire about quantity of fuel required by them, they took out a pistol and demanded cash. On resistance, miscreants hit him with pistol butt and injured him on the head after which they took away the cash from drawer. Injured employee who got five stitches on his head said that they were four people in Tavera car, speaking in Punjabi language, they had country-made pistol and appeared to be anti-social elements. SHO (Sadar) Gopal Singh told TOI that the vehicle used by the miscreants has been recovered from near the Sirohi Housing Board premises, which they might have abandoned due to police checking. The registration number of the vehicle is of Punjab (PB 09 H 0068), it appears to be the same gang, which looted petrol pumps in Bikaner. He also said that all the entry and exit points of the district have been sealed and strict checking of vehicles has been launched to nab the culprits. He further said that police teams were raiding various hideouts in the district and even in adjoining districts in order to nab them. This loot incident took place within 24 hours of the Bikaner petrol pumps loot, in which Rs 1.15 lakh was looted from three petrol pumps one after another.
