Import Hotmail Emails to MS Outlook 2003

I have Outlook Connector installed.

I have tried different ways to import the emails without any success. One using POP3 as in these instructions: https://account.live.com/HelpCentral.aspx?mkt=en-us

But it fails to connect to my hotmail acct. I also tried my live acct and it does the same thing.

I also tried by adding a new acct in Outlook by adding it as an http email acct, with no avail.

I do have an msn account and really need to import the hotmail emails into that msn acct.

If anyone has any other ideas, I sure would appreciate it.
